This video demonstrates the power of Windows 8’s support for legacy software. Windows 8 is perfectly able to natively run a game designed for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. The game was released in 1994, and I am running the original, unmodified version of this game. This software has not been remastered; it’s running the original code.

This game had two exe files, one 16-bit and one 32-bit. I ran the 16 bit version on Windows 3.1 and the 32-bit version on Windows 8 64-bit. The 16-bit version does work on the 32-bit version of Windows 8.
